These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Medical Student AI website, mobile apps and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Educational use only, not medical advice

The Service is a study tool for learning. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional clinical judgment. Do not rely on the Service to make decisions about the care of any patient, including yourself. In a medical emergency, contact local emergency services.

2. AI-generated content

Parts of the Service use artificial intelligence. AI-generated answers, summaries, quizzes and other content may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Check important information against trusted sources.

3. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use the Service. You are responsible for the information you give us, for keeping your sign-in details secure, and for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been used without your permission.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break any law, or infringe anyone else's rights, while using the Service;
  • upload content you do not have the right to share;
  • upload other people's personal or health information without the right to do so;
  • try to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorized access to the Service; or
  • use the Service to build a competing product, or to collect data from it by automated means.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you submit. You give us permission to use it as needed to operate, provide and improve the Service for you. You are responsible for making sure you have the rights to the content you submit.

6. Our content

The Service, including its software, design and materials we provide, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it for your own study under these Terms.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Some features require a paid subscription. Prices and what each plan includes are shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. If you subscribed through an app store, purchases, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by that store under its terms; you can manage them in your store account settings.

8. Changes to the Service and suspension

We may change, add or remove features of the Service. We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms or if needed to protect the Service or other users. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that its content will be accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on content from the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information when you use the Service.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above, and where the changes are significant we will let you know. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
